President’s Letter

Did you know that Charlotte Concerts is our city’s first presenting arts group? Founded in 1930, Charlotte Concerts continues to bring the world’s greatest performers to Charlotte. This season, we will present an orchestra, an ensemble, and a soloist, as well as the ballet. And we top it off with the world’s foremost chamber orchestra and their stellar young conductor. It’s a line-up calculated for excitement!

As our new president, I would like to take this opportunity to invite you and your family to experience more than just our concert series. Our mission includes active outreach in our community. It’s dedicated to enhancing the lives of our children in schools where arts budgets have been cut. When artists come to town for Charlotte Concerts, they make themselves available for exciting “Meet The Artist” and “Open Company” classes that give school students the opportunity to personally interact with the artists. Our popular pre-concert “Informances” are always free and casual, and provide a unique personal insight into some of world’s greatest performers.

Plus, Charlotte Concerts goes even further. Last year, thanks to the support of our ticket holders and sponsors, we were able to donate almost two dozen professional musical instruments to local children. Imagine finally being able to pursue your dream of learning to play music! That joy is priceless.

How can you get involved? Join Charlotte Concerts today, subscribe to our concert series or consider being a personal or corporate sponsor. Or simply visit our website and sign up for our email newsletter to keep up on events. Being a part of Charlotte Concerts gives you the satisfaction of supporting the arts, and arts education, in your own community. Experiencing the magic and excitement of a world-class concert series in a superior concert hall is an added bonus!

We look forward to seeing you this season!
